This Vegan Watermelon Berry and Plum Salad requires less than 10-ingredients to make and does not involve cooking at all. It is light and refreshing and is the perfect ode to summer, all prepared in less than 10-minutes too.

When I was little, whenever summer came, my mom LOVED to buy watermelons. She had so much fun knocking on the watermelons, testing to see if they would be sweet or not, and also trying to find the largest one in the grocery store. While I can spend all the time going through the different grocery aisles seeing if there are any new products I can try, my mom could stay at the produce section near the watermelon bins finding the best watermelon.

It was actually pretty funny seeing a 5 foot 1’ woman and a little girl carrying large watermelons around. We don’t usually make anything with the watermelons, but eating them in slices cold. They were almost always the perfect sweetness. My mom likes to add a tiny bit of salt to them for a sweet and salty flavor, but I am not the biggest fan of this method.

With August coming to an end soon, I knew I had to make a Watermelon and Berry Salad paired with some plums that are in season right now. They are super good together and summer berries just taste so much better freshly picked. I added a simple Maple and Lime dressing to it, but a simple squeeze of lime juice is just as good. With less than 10-ingredients and under 10-minutes, you can have a simple, yet delicious salad.

Here are all the ingredients you will need to make this Watermelon Berry and Plum Salad:
-fresh watermelon, cubed
-fresh berries of choice (I used raspberries and strawberries)
-fresh plums or other stone fruit or peaches
-quality extra virgin olive oil
-maple syrup
-fresh limes
