These Vegan Strawberry Chocolate Tarts are a must make for all chocolate lovers. They are vegan, gluten-free and refined sugar-free. If you are looking for an indulgent Valentine’s Day dessert to make these are for you.

Who doesn’t like a rich and indulgent chocolate dessert especially for celebrations or special occasions like Valentine’s Day that is coming up? Whether I am dining at home or out, I always make sure I have some sort of dessert at the end of the night. It’s just the perfect sweet way to end the day. More often than not, the dessert would involve chocolate. And if you are like me and like dark chocolate, the darker and more intense the chocolate is the better.

These Vegan Strawberry Chocolate Tarts are just the perfect in-between for all chocolate lovers. You can taste the sweetest and richness from the chocolate and they are not too strong in cocoa flavor to scare anyone away. After all, chocolate should be enjoyed. With the strawberries, they create a refreshing and tasty dessert.

I made these Vegan Strawberry Chocolate Tarts using Edward and Sons’ Let’s Do Organic Chickpea Flour, Let’s Do Organic Tapioca Starch, More Than Fair Fair Trade Organic Coconut Milk, and Native Forest Organic Unsweetened Premium Coconut Cream.

Other ingredients you will need include:
-coconut oil
-maple syrup
-ground cinnamon
-vegan chocolate chips
-vanilla extract
-fresh strawberries

How to make these Vegan Strawberry Chocolate Tarts?
To make these Vegan Strawberry Chocolate Tarts, first, preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly spray 4 tart pans (mine is about 3 ½ inches wide) with some coconut oil.

Then proceed to make the crust. Combine the chickpea flour, tapioca starch, and cinnamon together and mix well. In a separate bowl, combine the ¼ cup coconut milk with the coconut oil and maple syrup. Mix well and slowly add in the flour mixture into the wet ingredients. Combine well.

Divide the mixture into the 4 tart pans. Press on the sides and bottom of the pan to cover the pan completely. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Remove the tarts from the oven when ready and let them cool.

Meanwhile, make the chocolate filling. Combine all the ingredients for the chocolate filling into a microwaveable bowl. Microwave at 30 seconds intervals until all the chocolate has melted and the chocolate is smooth. Divide the chocolate filling amongst the 4 tart pans. Place in the fridge and allow them to set for 3-4 hours or overnight. When the chocolate has set, top with the sliced strawberries.
