Hummus is one of my favorite spreads to have in my fridge. Before I learned how to make them, I would always grab a large container from the grocery store and save it in my fridge so that whenever I am hungry I can have them with some chopped veggies or crackers. They are also amazing on platters when you have a larger party over or you simply want to enjoy it with your family. I decided to make it simple and used the hummus on toast and some fresh asparagus I got from the farmer’s markets which are in season right now.

The number of flavors for hummus is endless and I know there are sweet ones now too like chocolate brownies, caramel, strawberry cheesecake and many more. However, there is nothing like a classic hummus dip you can enjoy and takes less than 10 minutes to make.

I decided to make a lemon flavored hummus because I was craving something savory and also don’t have much ingredients in my pantry. All you need to do is combine all the ingredients into a blender or mixer, blend for a couple minutes and your hummus is ready.
